For the Base :
Dayara bugyal's Base Village is at Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi you have to travel Bhatwari. From Bhatwari, Raithal and Barsu is at 12km of distance and you can select either of them as your starting point. From Uttarkashi few buses runs till Bhatwari and you can make use of them or you can take shared jeep which costs around 60Rs from Uttarkashi to Bhatwari. Bus will cost around 20 to 30 Rs for this distance. Now this bus can be taken at around 7:30am to 8:30am from uttarkashi.
From Bhatwari only one option exist for Barsu and it is private jeep. If you are lucky then you will get someone to share the cost, else you have to pay complete cost of 300Rs to 400Rs for this.
What To Expect:
In single year I have done Dayara Bugyal trek twice, in August and in December. Both the times I have enjoyed the nature so much and it was complete different trek all together. It was like visiting two different places. In August except Cows no one was there in whole bugyal and in Winter it was so much refreshing to see those mountain peaks closer to you that too filled with snow. You can find your own things there and some of them will be common as below:
Dense forest
Green Meadows post monsoon:
Wild Flowers
Peace of mind
Bugyal full of Snow in winter

Trail of the trek starts from the lake which is opposite to the school. It will take aroud 2hrs to you for reaching Barnala Tal. You will not face any issue for finding trail once you start correct trail from Barsu Village. So, if confusion check with any villager.Â
At Barnala Tal you can see Nagdevta temple.

Note: Himalayan Treks are always risky, plan by yourself only if you have someone with good experience. One of my friend is regular trekker in Himalaya and after completing some of well known treks with group we tried this plan post checking all risk associated with it. We did Valley of Flowers with Hemkund Sahib (2 days) and then completed Dayara Bugyal (3 days) in August. In December we did Kedarkantha (2 days) and then visited Dayara Bugyal (2 days) again.
